Ingpuls is "Innovator of the year" at TOP 100 - in the category A up to 50 employees
Ingpuls achieves 1st place in the TOP-100 competition: On 28.06.2019 the most innovative companies in Germany were honoured for the 25th time and awarded prizes in the Jahrhunderthalle in Frankfurt. According to the jury's verdict, ingpuls is the most innovative company in Germany in its category. As mentor of the competition, the science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar awarded us as winner in the category up to 50 employees.
This year, 398 manufacturing and service companies took part in the TOP 100 competition. The evaluation was then carried out independently and based on a scientific system. In a total of 120 parameters and test criteria we came out on top. This encourages us to continue on our chosen path and to meet the demand for our intelligent solutions based on FGL across all industries: With innovative technology and fast development processes, we feel particularly addressed by Ranga Yogeshwar's words addressed to the TOP 100 companies:
"Openness for new things, tolerating mistakes, the constant desire to do things new and different - these are the characteristics of a good innovation culture. A culture as lived out in the medium-sized companies that we award TOP 100. These are outstanding medium-sized companies whose innovative spirit has become part of their DNA. They are far-sighted and hands-on entrepreneurs for whom innovation is the top priority every day.“
"A promising technology start-up...that has succeeded in bringing a technology known for decades to industrial application.“
We feel honored to have achieved the first place in our category as "Innovator of the Year". Partners of the competition are Manager Magazin, the Impulse business portal, the German Association for Small and Medium-sized Businesses BVMW, and the insurance company W&V. The top-class jury consisted, among others, of the investor Frank Thelen, the management consultant Prof. Dr. Roland Berger, the top manager Prof. Dr. Utz Claassen, the presidents of the Federal Association of German Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (Mario Ohoven) and the Fraunhofer Society (Prof. Dr. Reimund Neugebauer) as well as politicians (Dr. Gregory Gysi, Dr. Sahra Wagenknecht, Cem Özdemir).
Their verdict confirms that the development of our company is on the right track. Because we have achieved top results in all criteria:
- Innovation-promoting top management
- Climate of Innovation
- Innovative processes and organization
- External Orientation/Open Innovationli>
According to the jury's verdict, we were able to assert ourselves as the winner particularly because of our innovative strength: "The founders and their employees have impressively succeeded in introducing FGL technology, which [...] until recently was only used in medical technology, into new, attractive areas of application.“
TOP 100 writes: "An outstanding characteristic of the company and its innovative activities is its solution competence, which is remarkable in three respects: both with regard to the degree of innovation of the products and with regard to the internal processes as well as in the company structure and organisational development.“
Particular attention was also paid to the fact that "after receipt of the first major order from the automotive industry, [we] were able to deliver within a few months, although at the time the order was received, only prototypes had been produced in the university laboratory and a production facility for series production had first to be built, set up and financed. It is only because we have managed to build up this production "from scratch" that the automotive industry has been able to benefit from our technology in FGL. TOP 100: "The first [...] market is [...] the automotive industry. There, the springs developed by Ingpuls are used as combined actuators and sensors. Compared to previous technical solutions, the products are cheaper (-30 percent cost) and lighter (-90 percent weight).“
Our customers in other industries already benefit from these and similar advantages. After all, what we have put on the road millions of times over as an established supplier in the automotive industry and continue to expand, also offers our customers advantages elsewhere. Working out their benefits (costs, weight, installation space, functional integration and much more) is our daily business: with 48 employees, we develop and produce customer-specific alloys and components made of shape memory alloys (FGL). "Systematic, structured and sustainable:
In recent years, we have laid the foundations for a technology group"
In a close exchange we benefited from the years of experience of Edgar Stehning and his PROERGEBNIS team. With the support of Edgar Stehning, we have created the basis for our business services and their scalability. At the centre of our thoughts are the manifold connections between people, tasks, goals and results. In this context, we have understood that elementary success factors, conscious leadership, communication that is characterized by genuine interest in people and an organization geared towards strategic success are essential. However, in our exchanges with others we often get the impression that many entrepreneurs are not yet sufficiently aware of and consider the relevance of intangible assets for a secure future and the goal-oriented development of suitable organisational structures. We are particularly grateful to Edgar Stehning for the trustful cooperation and sharing of his extensive experience and look forward to his further support.
